Sensei Zubin Laliwala

Sensei Zubin Laliwala has trained in Martial Arts since the age of 13.  He always wanted to train in martial arts since as long as he could remember.  When he saw the movie the Karate Kid he was 4 years old and knew that’s what he wanted.  For years he asked his mother to let him train but she consistently declined fearing for her child’s safety.  Zubin’s mother didn’t really understand the martial arts and all the values that it stood for.  She feared that the martial arts were only about fighting, combat, and conquering.  Contrary to this belief the martial arts are about peace and are a way of living one’s life to the maximum potential.  Finally at the age of thirteen with the help of another neighborhood mom, Susan they convinced Mrs. Laliwala what the true meaning of Martial Arts was.  From that point on Zubin Laliwala wasted no time in his training and took it very seriously.

He trained from the ages of 13-16 locally and received his Black Belt.  Then he made a life altering decision and sought out the greatest martial artist on the planet that he had ever seen, of the martial arts hall of fame Grandmaster Roy Williams.  For the past decade Sensei Zubin has commuted from Massachusetts to Florida to train with this genius teacher.

Today Sensei Zubin Laliwala currently holds the rank of Master directly under Grandmaster Roy Williams and still visits and trains with him regularly.  Sensei Zubin has actually dedicated and trained over 20,000 hours of his life in Martial Arts.  Sensei Zubin is well versed in all major facets of Martial Arts.  This includes Karate, Lissajous-do, boxing, kickboxing, trap fighting, grappling, and many other traditional and progressive mixed martial arts.  In 1999 he was chosen to represent the United States of America in the main event bout for the ISKA world tournament held in Italy. He has also performed with the National Halo Aura Lightshow team as a special guest performer at some of the largest martial arts tournaments and entertainment venues in the world.  Sensei Zubin has also performed at a pay-per-view kickboxing match which included Don “the Dragon” Wilson’s comeback victory.  Sensei Zubin is extremely excited to share everything he has received from his martial arts journey with his students and community.
